The Position

Skilled Medical has an exciting career opportunity for a Medical Director in Child and Youth Psychiatry at a metropolitan hospital on the Queensland coast.  This opportunity will suit a highly skilled clinician with an interest in mental health leadership and service development.

Health Service

This hospital provides a complete range of public mental health and alcohol/drug services. The Child and Youth department provides two inpatient specialist care units for under 18 and between 18 - 25 years. Outpatient clinics are located at another site and include a community based service limited to acute needs for infants.  The hospital provides a consultation liaison health service, school mental health programs and a child safety unit.

This metropolitan hospital is located near some of Australia's most beautiful beaches and coastline and would be ideal for doctors seeking a sunny, outdoor and city based lifestyle.

Essential Criteria

Doctors must have AHPRA specialist registration and FRANZCP, and ideally have prior management/leadership experience in psychiatry.
