A North Eastern VIC hospital requires a Registrar/PHO in Rehabilitation Medicine from 02/12/2019 to 31/01/2020.

Position 1: $115 p/H
Rehabilitation Registrar or Senior Resident (PGY3+)
Commencement: Monday December 2, 2019
End Date: Friday January 31, 2020

Duty Roster (excludes public holidays):
MONDAY 0800-1700
TUESDAY 0800-1700
WEDNESDAY 0800-1700
THURSDAY 0800-1700
FRIDAY 0800-1300

Position 2: $100 p/H
Rehabilitation Resident (PGY2+)
Commencement: January 6, 2020
End Date: Friday January 31, 2020

Duty Roster (excludes public holidays):
MONDAY 0800-1700
TUESDAY 0800-1700
WEDNESDAY 0800-1300
THURSDAY 0800-1700
FRIDAY 0800-1700
Please note: This position will be required to work 1700-2200 as per the afterhours ward cover Resident one evening (Mon, Tues or Thurs). This roster will be provided 2 weeks in advance.

**Locums that are prepared to commit to the entire block will be given priority

About the Unit:
The Thomas Hogan Rehabilitation Unit is a 29 bed unit co-located with Northeast Health Wangaratta, Northeast Victoria. Wangaratta is an area known for its natural beauty and proximity to vineyards, walking and cycle trails, and ski fields. It is a 2.5 hour drive from Melbourne via the Hume Freeway.

The Unit is accredited for rehabilitation registrar training. The position is supported by an HMO 2/3 and intern positions, and an Older Person’s Nurse Practitioner.
Consultant staff comprises a Rehabilitation Physician who is an accredited supervisor, and a Staff Specialist in Geriatric Management.

The position would particularly suit a junior trainee being a generalist unit, and also a senior trainee who would be able to grow their confidence in patient management both in the inpatient and community setting.
