The Position

Skilled Medical currently has an exciting career opportunity for a Consultant Paediatrician to undertake a Director of Paediatrics role in a metro hospital.   This role is to ensure the provision of safe and effective services to children in the region.

Health Service

This major acute teaching hospital services a catchment area of approximately 280,000 people.  The paediatric unit provides multi-disciplinary services for children with behavioural and developmental issues.

The Location

This metro town offers plenty of attractions including a lovely coffee scene, markets and boutique shopping, art gallery, biking and hiking trails and hosts a motor sport precinct for motor racing enthusiasts. It is ideal for doctors who seek an outdoor and urban lifestyle, and look to build upon their experience in paediatrics.

Essential Criteria

Candidates must hold Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics) or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Paediatrician.

The successful candidate must hold a current drivers licence in order to operate a motor vehicle as working across several facilities is essential to the role.
