The Position
Skilled Medical has an exciting career opportunity for a Director of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) to commence a permanent position in an Outback NSW health service.
The role is ideal for FACEMs looking to gain or build upon emergency department leadership and management experience.
This role offers the option of a Fly-In-Fly-Out arrangement and flexibility of working part-time or full-time.
The option of a Visiting Medical Officer or a Staff Specialist contract is available.

This hospital hosts 75+ multifunctional beds, and is a major referral centre in the region. It provides a full range of inpatient and outpatient services, including medical, surgical, emergency, mental health, obstetrics, and paediatrics services, and also offers a wide range of primary and community services. The hospital provides exceptional modern facilities having undergone an entire hospital reconstruction 15 years ago, and major recent upgrades in a number of departments.
The Location
You will be based in one of Australia’s most iconic outback towns, known for its heroic history of survival, vibrant arts culture, labour movement roots, and grand historical buildings. This location has been source of a number of classic international and Australian films, due to its quintessential depiction of the outback, and unusual beauty.
Essential Criteria
Doctors must hold Fellowship with the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine.
