The Position
Skilled Medical has exciting career opportunities for Medical Registrars (basis and non-training positions) to commence a 12 month full time fixed term position ASAP in New Zealand's East Coast, North Island.
Clinical duties will be varied and will involve not only acute ward patient management with excellent exposure to unselected general medicine in a challenging rural health setting, but also outpatient clinics (which may be aligned with your specific clinical field of interest). The ED provides the essential point of first contact for all admissions and when you are 'first on' Registrar and you work closely with the ED Senior team to assess and manage patients referred.
Offering an active educational program dedicated non-clinical training time can be arranged on your roster to help achieve this.

This 115 bed hospital provides multidisciplinary services to a population of approximately 35, 000 people and is one of the highest population demographically for Maori in New Zealand.

Essential Criteria
Eligibility for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand is required.
