The Position
Skilled Medical has an exciting and unique career opportunity for a Clinical Director (FACEM) to commence a permanent position in an Outback NSW (negotiable location) telehealth service.
The role is ideal for FACEMs looking to gain or build upon leadership and management experience.
You will be a part of a team looking to enhance critical care programs utilising virtual health across the NSW District. This unit strives to further develop a world class virtual health service that makes a positive difference to rural and remote communities across NSW. The service supports all hospitals within the lower health district and is responsible for the flow and management of patients with a life threatened condition, those requiring specialist care, post specialist care and diagnostics.Working in partnership with emergency consultants, critical care nurses, rural generalists, patient transport nurses and drivers as well as non-clinical support staff and local clinicians.

Health Service
Providing 38 inpatient facilities, 50 primary and community health services and 23 community mental health facilities across NSW to people in regional, rural and remote locations.
The Location
Location for this position is negotiable.
Essential Criteria
* Doctors must hold Fellowship with the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine.
* Leadership and management experience and /or training.
* Commitment to Clinical Governance, clinical improvement and patient safety programs.
* Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position.
* Strong team working skills in collaboration, communication and conflict resolution.
* Demonstrated highly developed information communication technology and Telehealth skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with a multidisciplinary health care team.
* Current NSW Driver’s License or equivalent and be preparedness to travel as a requirement of the position.
