The Position
Skilled Medical has an exciting career opportunity for a Director of Medical Services to undertake a role as Clinical Quality and Patient Safety Medical Director in a regional NSW Hospital commencing ASAP. This position is 2 days per week and will consider a fly in/fly out arrangement as an option.
The responsibility is to provide medical leadership relating to clinical quality and patient safety across the district by developing strong links and working collaboratively with senior clinicians and managers. The Medical Director will provide high level medical advice in relation to reviewing, monitoring and evaluating clinical risk. In particular the role will provide a key interface between QCSN and Clinical Operations, including Clinical Streams, to improve medical engagement and ensure clinical governance principles are effectively integrated into patient care.
This position is ideal for a Medical Director looking to gain and build upon management and leadership skills in a part-time capacity.

Essential Criteria
Doctors who hold Fellowship of the Royal Australasian of Medical Administrators (RACMA) are preferred.
RACMA trainees and medical practitioners with considerable management experience will also be considered.
