The Position
Skilled Medical has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Director in Anaesthetics & Perioperative Services to commence a permanent part time (2 days per week/ 0.4 EFT), with a possibility to increase to full-time (0.6 EFT) in a clinical capacity in a coastal Victorian Hospital.
The role is responsible for the professional and clinical leadership and development of the Anaesthetics team. The Clinical Director will also be involved in the ongoing consolidation of perioperative services and the outpatient complex pain service.
Candidates will have demonstrated clinical leadership experience within a public health service, with experience in a rural and/or regional health service advantageous. Candidates should have a strong interest in supporting and growing the General Practice role in Anaesthetics and be able to grow the anaesthetic team as it expands.
This position will work closely with the Executive and provide:
• high quality, person centred care
• leadership and clinical governance oversight
• clinical anaesthetic services including contribution to the on-call roster
• oversight and support to GP Anaesthetics / FANZCA’s

Essential Criteria
Doctors must be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and hold Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
