The Position
Skilled Medical is seeking applications from Consultants in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to commence permanent role in regional VIC.
The successful candidate will provide elective and emergency obstetrics and gynaecology services and will share on-call cover with the four existing consultants. There is also the opportunity to join a busy private gynaecology practice.
Health Service
This health service is the major referral central for the region and provides a 24/7 emergency department and a comprehensive range of specialist and medical services to a population of approximately 100, 000 people. There are about 25,000 emergency department attendances, 19,000 admissions, 7,000 surgical procedures and nearly 700 deliveries annually.
The hospital has an 8 bed Critical Care Unit and four operating theatres. An 11 bed Paediatric Unit, with the ability to expand as required, and a Level 2 neonatal nursery. Maternity Ward has four delivery suites with an operational Community Midwife Program. Tertiary hospital support is available in Melbourne, 2½ hours away by road, or 40 minutes by fixed-wing aircraft.

Essential Criteria
Doctors must hold registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FRANZCOG). Specialist trainees approaching the end of their training are also encouraged to apply.
