The Position
Skilled Medical has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Medical Officer to work as Rural Generalist or SMO Proceduralist with advanced skills (anaesthesia and obstetrics) in a full-time permanent position in Central Queensland.
Health Service
A small 25-bed hospital offering emergency and outpatient services, obstetrics and midwifery, general medical and surgical services. Support services to the hospital include community services, radiology, pharmacy, immunisation, child health, drug and alcohol mental health services, occupational therapy, social work, pathology, physiotherapy, and oral health.
The Location
A small rural town which offers an hour's flight from Brisbane and two hour drive to Rockhampton. This region boasts diverse industry including mines, power stations, grazing and farming and is ideal for doctors seeking a relaxed country lifestyle.
Essential Criteria
Doctors are required to hold fellowship with RACGP or FACRRM and those applying for procedural roles will need relevant qualifications and specialties including Joint Consultative Committee on Anaesthesia (JCCA) or DRANZCOG.
The Package
This position offers a highly attractive salary package including A total remuneration of up to $388,331 p.a. (L25), $327,951 p.a. (L18) or $297,381 p.a. (L14).
Comprised of a salary between: $179,702 - $214,897 p.a. (L18 – L25) $155,589 - $179,702 p.a. (L13 – L18) $155,589 - $160,448 p.a. (L13 – L14) and the following benefits:
• Professional Development Leave 3.6 weeks p.a.
• Professional Development Allowance ($21,000 p.a.)
• Motor Vehicle Allowance
• Over-time and on-call allowances
• Up to 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
