The Position
Skilled Medical is seeking applications from General Practitioners - Early Fellows (FACCRM or FRACGP) to commence a casual position within the Defence Force in metropolitan Queensland. Early Fellows with a minimum of 2 years full-time experience in the last 5 years in General Practice are encouraged to apply.
The position offers an attractive salary package between $282,750.00 to $315,000.00 equivalent (FTE).
Due to the nature of the industry, doctors must be Australian Citizens to obtain the required baseline security clearance for this role. This is a position of trust and responsibility and to support this a thorough probity assessment will be done and includes a national police check.
Providing regular medical support to Defence Force Personnel in a respectful, professional and pleasant environment with a manageable case load.
Obligations include providing medical services to eligible personnel (under the guidance of a Senior Medical Officer (SMO) or Senior Contracted Clinician (SCC)) in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence Policies and Procedures. You will be required to provide medical technical advice to the Joint Health Unit (JHU) Commanding Officer (CO), Joint Health Command (JHC) Health Centre Manager and Commanders of units.
Health Service
Providing both outpatient and inpatient care to 80,000 service men and women in the Australian Defence Force across 50+ locations within Australia.
No Medicare bulk billing.

Essential Criteria
Doctors must hold unconditional and unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a minimum of 2 years full-time experience in general practice setting within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).
Doctors must hold Australian Citizenship and recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA and hold a Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001) certification.
