The Position

Skilled Medical has an exciting career opportunity for a Consultant Cardiologist with specialist with skills and experience in general cardiology to work in a regional hospital in New Zealand's north island.

Doctors with cardiac imaging and/or pacemaker implantation are encouraged to apply.

Health Service

This 400 bed teaching hospital offers a comprehensive range of specialist, surgical and medical services to a catchment area of approximately 160,000 people.

The Location

The region has a mixture of terrific weather, outstanding scenery, beaches, world-class trout-fishing, easy access to the outdoors and ski-fields, and an established food and wine culture.

Essential Criteria

Candidates must hold Fellowship with The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with specialist training in cardiology and be registered or eligible for registration as a specialist with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

Overseas consultant cardiologists eligible for the special purpose locum tenens or vocational pathway into New Zealand can also apply.
