The Position
Skilled Medical currently has an exciting career opportunity for a Consultant Physician in Palliative Care to commence a 5 year fixed-term, part-time (16hr p/fortnight) in south east Western Australia.
Obligations include providing clinical leadership, working closely with the regional palliative care medical officer, local GPs and the regional palliative care team in developing care plans for palliative care patients with complex needs though the provision of specialist advice and assisting in other team activities across teaching, supervision and quality improvement.
Health Service
The organisation is comprised of seven regions with a strong network of public hospitals, health services and health centres. The south-east region provides multidisciplinary services to approximately 500, 000 people including approximately 45,000 Aboriginal people in a catchment area of approximately half a million square kilometers.

Providing a stunning golden outback which stretches from the rugged red earth in the north to the sweeping snow-white beaches of the south coast this area offers astounding diversity and is ideal for doctors seeking a rugged outback lifestyle.
Essential Criteria
Doctors must hold or be eligible for Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and will require Fellowship of the Australian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (FAChPM).
The Package
Total remuneration inclusive of base salary, superannuation and allowances ranges between $355,762 - $452,952 p.a.
