A North Eastern VIC hospital requires a Junior Medical Officer in Internal Medicine from 13/08/2021 to 01/02/2022.

Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is a busy sub-regional integrated health service of 208 beds and is the major referral facility for the greater part of North East Victoria. NHW provides a wide range of acute specialist medical and surgical services. An emergency department, critical care unit (ICU,HDU,CCU), obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics and specialised aged care, medical oncology services, community rehabilitation, and inpatient, community, aged and psycho-geriatric mental health services. There is also a broad range of community health services and NHW auspices a number of other regional services in post-acute care, palliative care and infection control. ED Admitting Medical Registrar (EDA) (n=2). Shifts 1) 0730-1830 weekdays, 2) 0830-1930 weekends  One Registrar is rostered each day (general pattern is 7 on/ 7 off).  0730 commence round Consultant Led Registrar handover  Attend ED and assess and where indicated admit patients referred by ED staff or GPs for General Medicine assessment/admission – this is the priority task  Handover admitted patients to the relevant inpatient medical team for further care when the patient leaves the ED, or at the end of the shift, whichever is sooner. There are 3 medical teams:  Medical 1 unit: Dr Andreas Baisch & Dr Anthony Ibrahim, Med 1 registrar, 2 Interns  Medical 2 unit: Dr Phil Macleish, Dr Nancy Bilkhu, Med 2 registrar, 2 Interns  Medical 3 unit: Dr Robert Krones, Dr Vanisri Muniandy Med 3 registrar, 2 Interns
