The Position

Skilled Medical has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Medical Officer (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) to commence a Permanent Part-Time position (40 hours per fortnight) in a northern, coastal Queensland hospital.

Rural Generalist skills also necessary as role involves work in hospital's emergency department and general medical wards.

Health Service

The Heath Service covers the Whitsunday Regional Council area, Midge Point and Bloomsbury and is made up of two facilities; a hospital and community health service. The hospital is a 35-bed acute hospital, offering a number of specialty inpatient and outpatient services, including obstetrics and endoscopy and the Community Health Service provides by a multi-disciplinary team.

The Location

Situated inland from the stunning Whitsundays and filled with historic charm, this small town offers a relaxed country lifestyle, only a short drive to the coast.

This location is accessible via direct flights from Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Essential Criteria

Doctors must hold vocational registration with AHPRA and Fellowship with the DRANZCOG Advanced (or equivalent).

This position requires the doctor to operate a class C motor vehicle and hold an appropriate licence.
