The Medical Lead in the COVID-19 Vaccination & Monitoring Program will work closely with the nursing, support and administrative teams, under the direction of the Program Manager and Clinical Director to ensure that the program is run safely and efficiently.
Vaccination Hub
The Vaccination Hub will be located at an off-site facility, the Doctor will be rostered as a vaccinator and provide medical advice and support to members of the public. If any members of the community require further medical attention will be transported to the hospital by ambulance. The Medical Lead will provide advice, counselling, support and education to consumers and clinical staff; including administering COVID-19 vaccines as part of the national roll-out.
COVID Monitoring Program
The Doctor will provide on call advice to the COVID Monitoring nurses as required for the COVID positive patients who are isolating at home. The Doctor will attend a 3pm online review of patients, provide on call advice and be available to fill scripts for patients as required.
