A Southern TAS hospital requires a Registrar/PHO in Paediatrics from 12/09/2022 to 15/01/2023.
Classification Registrar - PGY5
Will consider (PGY3 or PGY4) Junior Registrar if the candidate has required Paediatric experience
Successful completion of APLS course preferable but not compulsory.
For consideration of a PGY3 they must have paediatric experience. Neonatal resuscitation experience preferred
Description:
This is a paediatric registrar position covering staff leave. The hospital has dedicated paediatric and adolescent wards, as well as a NPICU and special care within a large mixed teaching hospital. The paediatric registrar is part of a medical team including RMOs, senior registrars and consultants. The locum positions involve covering paediatric ward, paediatric clinic and NPICU duties.
Dates required:
12/9/22-9/10/22 – covering Wards
21/11/22- 4/12/22- covering Neonates
9/1/23-15/1/23- may be a mix of Wards and Neonates
(Please note: dates are not negotiable as for leave cover)
Shifts Registrar will be required to participate on a rotational roster within the paediatric team
On Call There may be occasional on call shifts where the registrar may be called from home to cover staff absence
Support/Supervision The registrar has on site support throughout the day and oncall consultant support at all times
Locum Medical officer National Average Daily Rate Dependant on experience hourly rate $140
Flights and Accommodation Arranged by Locum Provider with approval for costs to be obtained from hospital prior to confirmation of bookings. Please note: Vehicle not provided
AHPRA Registration Evidence of current registration must be provided prior to commencement
Criminal History Check Evidence of a satisfactory National Criminal History Check must be provided prior to commencement
Working With Children Registration Tasmanian WWCR required, interstate WWCR may be used for up to 28 days
Indemnity Evidence of current Medical Indemnity (for public and private patients) must be provided prior to commencement
