A Southern SA hospital requires a Junior Medical Officer in Emergency Medicine
• COMMENCE 08:00 SUNDAY, 24 DECEMBER 2017 TO 08:30 SATURDAY, 6 JANUARY 2018 (INCLUSIVE)
o TOTAL OF 10 SHIFTS:
2 DAY SHIFTS AT 8 HOURS PER SHIFT WITH A 30 MINUTE UNPAID MEAL BREAK
4 AFTERNOON SHIFTS AT 8 HOURS PER SHIFT WITH A 30 MINUTE UNPAID MEAL BREAK
4 NIGHT SHIFTS AT 10 HOURS PER SHIFT WITH A 30 MINUTE UNPAID MEAL BREAK
3 DAYS OFF IN BETWEEN SHIFT CHANGES
o RATE IS $100 PER HOUR FOR DAY AND AFTERNOON SHIFTS AND $120 PER HOUR FOR NIGHT SHIFTS PLUS GST
The incumbent will be required to work as part of the Emergency Department Team. The ED team consists of one other Salaried Medical Officer (2 per shift), nursing staff and after hours Consultants who are available if required. The position is based primarily within the Emergency Department but some after-hours assistance may be required in Ward areas. The incumbent will be working as a medical officer covering ED and the wards and also working with junior supervised RMOs. As previously mentioned, there will be off site consultant back up available for medical, surgical, anaesthesia, paediatrics and O&G.
