The Position

Skilled Medical has an exciting career opportunity for a Specialist in Vascular Surgery to commence a 12 month fixed-term full-time position in a metropolitan hospital in New Zealand's North Island.

Health Service

This teaching hospital and major tertiary referral centre provides specialist and emergency healthcare a catchment area of 900,000 people.  It is the only major District Health Board to offer all surgical specialties on one campus and is the major trauma hospital for the region.

The Location

Offering outstanding opportunities including hiking, sailing, fishing, biking and within easy reach to surfing in the West Coast, leisure beaches in the East Coast or 3hr drive to ski fields.  This location is ideal for doctors seeking an outdoor lifestyle.

Essential Criteria

Doctors must hold or eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand as a Plastic Surgeon.
