The Position
Skilled Medical has an exciting career opportunity for a Clinical Director in Medicine in a regional hospital in Coastal Queensland.
Obligations include building and leading a high performing team, delivering excellent clinical care, fostering a rich training and learning environment and developing the strategic academic vision. Responsibilities include creating a culture of safety and support, working collaboratively with the General Manager – Division of Medicine, Nursing Director and other Directors to deliver an effective overall General Medicine service.

There is a strong emphasis on collaborative care and maintenance of a culture of routine delivery of the best possible care in a family inclusive manner with a strong focus on relapse prevention. Promoting resilience and recovery, using a multidisciplinary approach to support continuity of care for treatment and planning within a network of crisis intervention, acute care and relapse prevention interventions, continuing and extended community treatment and care using a case management approach, ongoing liaison with general practitioners, consultant psychiatrists, other government and non-government service providers.

Essential Criteria
Doctors must Fellowship of the Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
Specialist Registrants will be preferred in all positions;however non-specialists or overseas trained specialists may be considered where appropriate and significant progression towards fellowship can be demonstrated. Applicants who have completed specialist qualifications but are yet to be registered as a specialist are encouraged to apply.
Doctors must hold class C motor vehicle licence.
The Package
A competitive remuneration package value up to $432,616 p.a., comprising salary between $179,702 - $227,843 p.a. (L18–L27), motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements. Overtime and on-call allowances will be negotiated with the successful applicant upon appointment. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value.
