The Position

Skilled Medical has an exciting career opportunity for a Medical Officer with rights to private practice (MOPP) to commence a permanent full-time position in a rural Queensland health service.

Obligations include providing high quality multidisciplinary clinical services to public inpatients, outpatients, accident and emergency and aged care services with the right of private practice.

Health Service

This 10 acute bed and 6 aged care bed health service offers a range of outpatient services provided by resident and visiting clinicians.  The health service also manages a second facility (16 bed aged care) approximately 1km off site.

The Location

A small country town with a population of approximately 3,000 people.  This mining, sheep and cattle grazing and grain growing and harvesting country offers a small national park ideal for bush-walking and photography.

Approximately, 3hr drive from the east coast this location is ideal for doctors seeking a relaxed country lifestyle.

Essential Criteria

Doctors must hold vocational registration with AHPRA and Fellowship with the RACGP or ACRRM and experience in emergency medicine and general practice. Doctors must also hold a 'C' class motor vehicle licence.
