A Southern TAS hospital requires a Registrar/PHO in Paediatrics from 06/12/2021 to 30/01/2022.
Our client is seeking a locum Paediatric Surgery Registrar to commence from 6/12/2021 to 8.30am 31/01/2022 . The locum Registrar role is to support the Paediatric surgical team, there is no procedural expectation. The role is to review patients and assist in clinic.
Classification Registrar - PGY5 or above
Will consider (PGY3 – 4) Junior Registrar or Resident Medical Officer if the candidate has required Paediatric experience
Successful completion of APLS course preferable but not compulsory.
Unit Paediatric Surgery – Registrar role will be supporting the Paeds Surg team
Description: Paediatric Surgery Unit provides a state-wide service to newborns and children up to and including 14 years of age and offers antenatal counselling for congenital anomalies as well. The unit consists of 3 Staff Specialist Paediatric Surgeons, an accredited (RACS) surgical training registrar and a senior resident who is in the RACP Paediatric training program. The unit caters for a wide variety of common and rare paediatric and neonatal surgical conditions. Surgeries performed include general paediatric surgery, paediatric urology, neonatal surgery and minimally invasive surgery. RHH Paediatric Surgery Unit is the tertiary referral centre for paediatric trauma for Tasmania. The members in the unit are active contributors to the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching program as well as clinical research.
The locum Registrar role is to support the Paediatric surgical team, there is no procedural expectation. The role is to review patients and assist in clinic.
Dates required 06/12/2021 to 30/01/2022
Shifts Registrar will be required to participate on a rotational roster within the paediatric team
On Call NA
Support/Supervision There is a Surgical Registrar on the Paediatric team, and team is also supported by Consultant with direct supervision
Locum Medical officer National Average Daily Rate Dependant on experience hourly rate $140
Flights and Accommodation Arranged by Locum Provider with approval for costs to be obtained from hospital prior to confirmation of bookings. Please note: Vehicle not provided

COVID vaccination status
