Suitable candidates must be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA), must have Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons or equivalent at the date of commencing duties and must hold current accreditation with GESA for upper and lower scopes.
About the Position In the role of Consultant Surgeon, you will:
- Provide a high standard of surgical care to surgical patients in Kalgoorlie Health Campus by supervising, coordinating and managing the care of Goldfields general surgery patients.
- Provide administrative leadership in combination with other Surgeons and with the clinical nurse specialist of Surgery.
- Participate in programs to ensure safety and quality of surgical services including audit, incident review and clinical practice improvement projects.
- Take responsibility for policy development and review and provision of training, supervision and education for trainee medical officers. Need to hold current accreditation with GESA for upper and lower scopes.
The Package
MP Year 1-9 $363,272- $461,350, p.a.* *Includes Arrangement A base salary $297,757—$386,515 p.a., professional development allowance $30,996 p.a. and 10.5% employer contributed superannuation.
