A Southern TAS hospital requires a Registrar/PHO in Geriatric Medicine/Gerontology from 27/03/2023 to 11/06/2023.

Unit Geriatric wards have 22 beds split between these three departments.
There is an allied health team and full complement of nursing staff

Dates required ASAP to 11 June 2023
Shifts Day 0800 to 1700
On Call As per the roster – 1:11 on call for the Repatriation hospital wards and Jasmine unit at RFC. Patients are under c/o Geriatrics and Palliative Care teams. There is a Consultant on-call. On-call is from home with call backs.
Weekdays: 1700 – 0800
Weekends: 0800 - 0800

Support/Supervision Consultants in person and on-call

Locum Medical officer National Average Daily Dependant on experience hourly rate $140
On- call rates $10 per hour and if called in the hourly rate will be paid

Flights and Accommodation Arranged by Locum Provider with approval for costs to be obtained from hospital prior to confirmation of bookings. Note – No Car

AHPRA Registration Evidence of current registration must be provided prior to commencement
Criminal History Check Evidence of a satisfactory National Criminal History Check must be provided prior to commencement
Working With Children Registration NA for this position
Indemnity Evidence of current Medical Indemnity (for public and private patients) must be provided prior to commencement
