Emergency Medicine Registrar (PHO)
The Location
Hobart, Australia (multiple positions available)
Remuneration package
Circa $150K (£80K) p.a
Remuneration package includes:
- Superannuation 10.5%

Health Service
The Tasmanian Health Service in Australia is expanding to meet the needs of the Hobart community.
This hospital is the tertiary referral hospital for the state of Tasmania.
The Emergency Department is a Stage 4 accredited site for both adult and paediatric emergency medicine.

The Role
As an Emergency Department Registrar, you will provide emergency care to patients while also having the opportunity to rotate through other specialties such as anaesthetics, intensive care, paediatrics, trauma, and more.
The role offers Special Skills Placements in Medical Education/Simulation & Emergency Medicine Research, and candidates can be supported through rotations including hyperbaric medicine, neo-natal/paediatric ICU and general medicine.
The education program is highly valued, with dedicated preparation programs for ACEM primary and fellowship examinations. Essential Criteria
Doctors must either be registered with AHPRA or eligible to apply for medical registration via The AHPRA Competent Authority Pathway. The AHPRA registration requirements for IMG's are:
- Candidates must hold UK Medical graduate (primary) qualifications OR
- PLAB certification to obtain AHPRA Medical Board of Australia registration.
