A Western QLD hospital requires a Senior Medical Officer in General Practice/Emergency Medicine from 01/08/2023 to 30/10/2023.

Facility details:
Patients that can be safely managed in MPHS are admitted and treated, those requiring referral to a higher facility are transferred to Townsville University Hospital usually via RSQ/RFDS.
GP Clinic: Open Monday to Friday 9.00-5.00pm (staff shift 08.30-5.30pm) Closed weekends and Public Holidays
Hospital: 15 bed facility, 6 Aged care designated beds, 9 Acute care designated beds.
ED: Triage 1,2 & 3 are seen at the Hospital, triage 4 & 5 are seen in GP clinic. Average presentations fluctuates through the week from 2-8 per day, depending on the day. There is the ability to do some x-rays as well as point of care tests.
