A Western NSW hospital requires a Senior Medical Officer in General Practice / Emergency from Wed 15th Nov to Tue 28 Nov 2023

Role information: GP VMO - capable of managing approx. 10 presentations daily. Must have completed eMeds training. Experience: Emergency, Trauma, Adult & Paediatric Support, sound clinical judgement and communicate appropriately. On-call requirements: You will be the sole Doctor on call 24/7. You will be called for triage categories 1 and 2 with Category 3 at the Registered Nurses discretion. You may also be called to review Residential Aged care (RAC) patients if required. Please note support is available via vCare. Hours required to be on-site: 8am ward rounds, followed by ED reviews - finish time to be negotiated with site. Must return to the ED when requested by nursing staff at any time. Type of Doctor required: GP with Emergency Department Experience. Must have completed Rural eMeds training. Doctors need to have wide variety of experience in Emergency Departments, capable of managing approximately 30 presentations per day, working with one FLEC (First Line Emergency Care) trained RN.
