The Position
This is an exciting opportunity for a Resident Medical Officers (JHO and SHO) to secure a 12 month rotational role in a well regarded public hospital in QLD.
Rotational terms on offer include Medicine, Surgery, Emergency, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, O&G (Women’s Health), Mental Health, Rural Hospitals, RFDS and Relief terms - You will receive the opportunity to select your term and leave preferences upon successfully obtaining a position.
The health service is able to offer 12 month contracts with start dates of 22/1/2024 or 2/9/2024; Other contract dates may be negotiated.
Health Service
One of QLD's largest healthcare providers, this 500+ bed facility offers the comprehensive range of specialist and medical services. Resident Medical Officer's are well supported within their roles with over 400 consultants working across the district.
The Location
The area is situated close to some of Australia's greatest natural attractions including the Great Barrier Reef, Rain forests and beautiful beaches. This city is well serviced by restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and hotels.
Essential Criteria
Candidates must hold General Registration or be eligible for Provisional Registration with Level 2 supervision with AHPRA, and having worked for the previous 12 months in a hospital environment as a minimum.
Candidates who are eligible for Limited registration are not suitable for this position.
The Package
$3,634.20 - $3,913.60 per fortnight (76 hours) plus superannuation and leave loading benefits.
Recreational leave for Resident Medical Officers is allocated in 5 week blocks
The Health Service will provide relocation (flight/drive) for yourself and immediate family. They will also offer reimbursement on initial accommodation upon arrival for up to 21 nights (up to $175.00 per night). For domestic relocation they can also offer assistance with relocation of possessions/vehicle.
The health service will provide AHPRA and VISA (TSS-482) application support to candidates once offered and accepted a contract.
