The Position
We are looking for multiple Consultant General Medicine Physicians for Full time or Part Time Fixed Term appointments in Regional Western Australia. There are many exciting opportunities available to provide a high standard of medical care and to country patients throughout regional health service locations.
Health Service
This is the largest country health service in Australia and one of the biggest in the world, providing health services to approximately half a million people, including 45,000 Aboriginal people, over a vast 2.5 million square kilometres area. Hospitals under this health service provide a variety of health care services including primary health care, emergency and hospital services, population health, mental health, indigenous health, and aged care. Dedicated and committed staff work hard to fulfil our purpose of 'working together for a healthier country WA, to deliver health services that support the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities in rural and remote Western Australia. The health service consists of seven regions across WA with Central Office located in Perth.
The Location

Essential Criteria
- Hold fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent.
- Demonstrated skills in General Medicine, High Dependency Care and Coronary Care at senior level.
- Have highly developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills with a commitment to clinical governance within healthcare.
- Significant experience in rural and remote general medicine provision and sound understanding of remote area health service provision is desirable.
