- 18 High level Residential Aged Care beds and 1 Respite Bed
- The Acute care section can accommodate 12 inpatients at any time. This unit has beds designated for Palliative care and two Renal Chairs for Haemodialysis Care. The ED operates 24/7 and is attended by routine Visiting Medical offers and experienced registered Nurses.

A Western NSW hospital requires a Senior Medical Officer in Emergency Medicine from 26/05/2024 to 02/06/2024.
SHIFTS:
Sun, 26 May 2024 - Sun, 2 Jun 2024
Hours: 08:00 - 08:00
GP VMO - capable of managing approx. 10 presentations daily. Must have completed eMeds training. Emergency, Trauma, Adult & Paediatric Support, sound clinical judgement and communicate appropriately. On-call: You will be the sole Doctor on call 24/7. You will be called for all triage categories at the discretion of the local Registered nurses, vCare or VRGS. Expectation that you review all cases in-person throughout the day. Overnight (from 8pm) you are expected to review Category 1, 2s and 3s in-person. Category 4 and 5s will be escalated directly with you at all hours with discretion of nursing staff in liaison with yourself. Should a RN require you to attend, you will be required to do so regardless of Triage Category. On-call will also require you to attend inpatients that are deteriorating. Fatigue breaks if required are to be discussed prior to taking any break with the Health Service Manager. Support is available via vCare in emergency situations should you require additional support. Hours to be on-site: 8am ward rounds, followed by ED reviews - finish time in negotiated with site. GP with Emergency Department Experience. Doctors need to have wide variety of experience in Emergency Departments, capable of managing approximately 30 presentations per day, working with one FLEC (First Line Emergency Care) trained RN. Medicare Provider number requirements: Full billings or refer and request acceptable.
