The Position
We are currently looking for 2 x Senior Medical Officer's (General Practitioner or Rural Generalist) to join the team in Clermont on a Permanent Part-Time basis.
Health Service
Clermont is situated three hours west of Mackay and has a population just over 3,000 and sits within the Isaac Regional Council area. Clermont Multipurpose Health Service (MPHS) is a 32-bed facility, including 10 x acute inpatient beds and 22 aged care beds in Montcler. Current services include aged care, 24-hour acute and emergency care, Community Health Nurses, Allied Health support, Outpatient Clinics and the Community Home Support Program (CHSP).
The Location
Mackay provides relaxed and comfortable rural and coastal living opportunities, only an hour flight from Brisbane and a short distance to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. The tropical climate is ideal for outdoor living with beautiful beaches and a spectacular natural environment nearby. Families are well serviced by a choice of high quality schools and a wide range of sporting clubs with excellent facilities.
Essential Criteria
- Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.
- Demonstration of or working toward acquisition of medical skills commensurate with requirements of rural practice. (FRACGP, FACRRM, FARGP or equivalent).
- Completion of an Advanced Skill (or equivalent) and proficiency and eligibility for credentialing by the MHHS credentialing committee as a FRACGP-RG, FACRRM, FARGP with advanced skill would be highly desirable.
- Certification of at least one (secondary) advanced rural skill is highly desirable.
The Package
- Total remuneration value of up to $243,070 (L27) is comprised of: A salary between $122,100 - $129,455 (L25-L27)
- Total remuneration value of up to $211,168 (L23) is comprised of: A salary between $102,103 - $115,781 (L18-L23)
- Total remuneration value of up to $184,501 (L17) is comprised of: A salary between $88,401 - $99,471 (L13-L17)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading is paid for 4 weeks leave
- Generous Salary Sacrificing (conditions apply)
- Professional Development Leave 3.6 weeks p.a.
- Professional Development Allowance ($21,500 p.a.)
- Motor Vehicle Allowance
- Over-time and on-call allowances
- Attraction and Retention Incentive Allowance (Granted Private Practice arrangements)
