• Procedural hospital seeing approximately 25-32 patients per day through ED. Maternity on site with Obstetric and Anaesthetic cover.
• There are 27 beds and 2 birthing rooms. Of the 27 beds, three are maternity beds and two high observation beds. Emergency department has five beds and one Resus Bay.
• The estimated residential population of Forbes LGA in 2016 was 9,587. People aged 70 years and over accounted for approximately 15.2% of the population. In the 2016 Census 11.1% of the LGA population identified as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.

Clinical handover at 0800 with outgoing or incoming anaesthetist on the ward or by telephone. • Provide anaesthesia services at allocated theatre lists, including eye blocks. • Provide pre-admission clinic services as scheduled. • Provide on-call anaesthetic and regional anaesthesia services including epidurals across the facility • Provide critical care services including airway management, ventilator support and haemodynamic support at the facility. • Provide vascular access support across the facility. • Provide pain services across the facility. • Provide neonatal resuscitation services. • Participate in rapid response, trauma and cardiac arrest services across the facility. • Participate in the training and supervision of students, junior medical officers and registrars. • Participate in morbidity and mortality meetings, MDT meetings and other clinical meetings as requested.
