- Multipurpose Service (MPS) has 28 beds allocated which include Residential High Care - 18 beds, includes 2 respite beds and Acute Cluster beds - 8 acute beds, (4 single rooms and 2 double rooms) and 3 dialysis chairs.
- The MPS provides a 24hr Emergency Department. There are five Medical officers in Coonamble, four of which have visiting rights to the Coonamble MPS. Three of the doctors are from Ochre Health (Castlereagh Medical Centre) and one from the AMS (Aboriginal Medical Service). There is no onsite Doctor but 24 hour medical service is provided.
- The town is located on the Central Western Plains of NSW and has an approximate population of 2,750 residnts
