- Procedural hospital seeing approximately 25-32 patients per day through ED. Maternity on site with Obstetric and Anaesthetic cover.
- There are 27 beds and 2 birthing rooms. Of the 27 beds, three are maternity beds and two high observation beds. Emergency department has five beds and one Resus Bay.
- The estimated residential population in 2016 was 9,587. People aged 70 years and over accounted for approximately 15.2% of the population. In the 2016 Census 11.1% of the LGA population identified as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.

A Central NSW hospital requires a Senior Medical Officer in Emergency Medicine from 23/12/2024 to 29/12/2024.

Duties:
• Face-to-face clinical handover with night doctor at 0730 – 0800 and 1730 – 1800 in the Emergency Department.
• Daily inpatient ward rounds from 0800-0930.
• Document daily ward rounds, provide medical care to inpatients, complete discharge summaries and review admitted patients as requested.
• Provide onsite medical care to patients presenting to the emergency department.
• Provide medical care to admitted postoperative patients.
• Complete contemporaneous and comprehensive clinical documentation in eMR.
• Provide and lead clinical review, rapid response, trauma and cardiac arrest services across the facility.
• Check pathology and radiology results in the ED results message centre ordered by any doctor, follow-up and document management plans for any results needed further action and review any patients returning for follow-up of results.
• Provide surgical assistance in theatre when required.
• Participate in the training and supervision of students, junior medical officers and registrars.
• Participate in morbidity and mortality meetings, MDT meetings and other clinical meetings as requested.
