The Position
We are on the look-out for a Rehabilitation Advanced Trainee (AFRM) for a 6/12 month placement in Northern Territory**.
There are fulltime specialists (AFRM fellows) who supervise the accredited registrar, registrar and RMO positions. There is also a multidisciplinary therapy team with its own therapy centre and access to hydrotherapy. The hospital has a purpose built ground floor rehabilitation facility including a dedicated therapy space, a gym and hydrotherapy pool. The rehabilitation service assists patients over the age of 14 years to regain or improve their function due to injury or disease and to help improve their quality of life.
**• Placements are fixed for 12 months or 6 months (03/02/2025 or 04/08/2025 – 01/02/2026).

Essential Criteria
1. Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
2. Previous experience as a Medical Registrar or PGY3+ and willing to step up to Registrar role with strong background in medical terms.
3. Sound clinical knowledge in assessment and management of patients and a commitment to provide appropriate high quality service.
The Package
- Salary as per the NTG Medical Officer EBA – REG1-6 to SREG 1-2 ($118,703 – $ 176,838) plus allowances and 11% super Medical Officers NTPS 2022-2025 Enterprise Agreement
- Relocation Support Provided: o 12 weeks subsidised rent o Removal of personal effects: 10m 3 per adult and 5m 3 per child o Reimbursement on commencement of economy airfare and 1 piece of luggage per person (immediate family)
- 6 Weeks per annum Annual Leave (4 weeks credited on commencement)
- Hospital based salary packaging ($17,000 grossed up value) before tax salary may be sanctified for certain non-cash benefits
