A Northern VIC hospital requires a Senior Medical Officer in General Practice from 22/11/2024 to 28/11/2024.

SHIFTS:

8AM - 8PM 24-Jan - 27-Jan

From 0800 Fridays to 0800 Mondays (and 0800 to 0800 on public holidays and the day prior to a public holiday), medical cover for the Urgent Care Centre, Acute Ward and residential aged care is provided by Duty Medical Officers (DMO) (Locum GP’s).

During this period:
• Urgent Care Centre – From 0800 to 2000, patients are covered by the DMO on-site. From 2000 to 0800, medical cover for Categories 1 and 2 patients are provided by the Health Admitting Officer and/or Adult Retrieval Victoria (the DMO is also available on an on-call/recall basis), while for Categories 3 to 5 patients it is provided by Victorian Virtual Emergency Department (VVED).
• Acute Ward - From 0800 to 2000, patients are covered by the DMO on-site. From 2000 to 0800, patients are covered by the DMO on an on-call/recall basis.
• Residential aged care – Medical cover for acute deterioration will be provided by the DMO on an on-call/recall basis (VVED may also be used if required).
