A Western NSW hospital requires Senior Medical Officer in General Practice for the following date(s).
Shift(s) details as below:
from 11/01/2025 18:00 to 14/01/2025 08:00 at $2300 per day
• Face-to-face clinical handover with ED day doctor at 1800 – 1815 and 0745 - 0800 in the Emergency Department. • You will be required to be onsite from 1800 to 2300. The on call doctor overnight is expected to attend the hospital when requested to attend by Nursing staff. • Provide onsite medical care to patients presenting to the emergency department. • Provide medical care to inpatients from 1800 – 0800, complete discharge summaries and review admitted patients as requested. • Complete contemporaneous and comprehensive clinical documentation in eMR. • Provide and lead clinical review, rapid response, trauma and cardiac arrest services across the facility. • Check pathology and radiology results in the ED pooled results message centre ordered by any doctor, follow-up and document management plans for any results needed further action and review any patients returning for follow-up of results. • Provide surgical assistance in theatre when required. • Participate in the training and supervision of students, junior medical officers and registrars. • Participate in morbidity and mortality meetings, MDT meetings and other clinical meetings as requested.
