- This Department of General Medicine has six teams, namely; Med A, B, C, D, team 3A. Each team consists of a Consultant, 1-2 Registrars and 1-2 Interns. Each alphabet team manages an average of 15 – 20 inpatients a day with an approximate 15 to 20 admissions a day through the Emergency Department. Team 3A is the Rapid assessment medical Unit (RAMU) for medical short-stay (up to 72 hours) inpatient unit.
- The medical staff are responsible for admitting (assessment and management) patients to General Medicine and for the management of deteriorating patients on the wards (medical and surgical).
- The role is to support a General Medicine team consisting of consultant support particularly when the team is taking acute admissions with supported ward rounds; there is also an on call physician 24 hours a day; the team also has one other registrar and one intern to manage their patients who will be of support; we have on site ICU and ICU presence at MET calls and code blues.

SHIFTS:
12 January 2025 to 1 February 2025
Evening shifts , 1330 to 2130 with some shorter shifts with the roster from 1530 to 2130
Flights and accommodation arranged.
May consider Snr RMO (PGY4) depending on general medicine experience.
