A Metropolitan NSW hospital requires a Registrar/PHO in Rehabilitation Medicine from 04/05/2025 to 01/08/2025.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Coverage will be Mon-Fri day shifts.

Role:
• Perform follow up assessments and ongoing management for patients admitted or referred to the
Camden Rehabilitation Unit.
• To assess and manage patients attending the general rehabilitation and specialties clinics eg: amputee
and orthotics outpatient clinics, under supervision.
• Manage daily clinical responsibility for patient care and coordinate multidisciplinary rehabilitation
program.
• To assist in the co-ordination of inpatient rehabilitation therapy
• Coordinate referrals to other rehabilitation services as clinically indicated and appropriate.
• Provide cover for inpatient rehabilitation wards during periods of unexpected leave.
• To participate in the supervision of any junior medical officers/medical students attached to the team.
• To participate in ongoing undergraduate/postgraduate nursing and allied health education provided by
the department.
• Active participation in relevant departmental education, peer review meetings and monthly AFRM
Trainee Teaching sessions.
• Prepare and update written material required for accreditation of your training programme.
• To participate in research programmes undertaken by the department.
• To participate actively in rehabilitation team quality activities and collection of uniform data set.
• To attend relevant departmental and hospital meetings as indicated by term supervisors.
