A Metropolitan NSW hospital requires a Registrar/PHO in Geriatric Medicine/Gerontology from 05/05/2025 to 30/06/2025.
SHIFTS:
For the period 5 May 2025 to 30 June 2025, Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30
Rapid Access Care of the Elderly (BRACE)
BRACE care for frail elderly people living in aged care facilities and in the Community on the Northern Beaches.
The Registrar would work closely and with minimal supervision with GPs, NSW ambulance, ‘Virtual Clinical Care Centre’ - VCCC and ‘Hospital in the Home’.
Patients are reviewed by telehealth/home visits depending on case-to-case basis. Home visits may be done by the registrar along with a CNC/CNS depending on clinical presentation and necessity.
All investigations (bloods and urine) are done by the registrar/nurses/home collection services, and the Team relys on mobile x-ray service for radiology support.
Overall, the aim is to provide safe and appropriate medical care while avoiding hospital admission.
