- The Facility has a five bed Emergency department with a doctor available to attend onsite. Virtual care is available 24/7 through the use of our vCare camera system ensuring all unwell patients can receive emergency care after hours.
- The hospital has a general ward that caters for Medical and Surgical patients with a capacity of 16 beds with surge capacity to 23 beds. The Maternity Unit has two birthing rooms and a capacity of eight beds providing care for well women, higher risk pregnancies are referred to Dubbo Health Service or other appropriate facilities according to patient needs. There are two Operating theatres, four recovery beds and eight day surgery chairs. Theatres operate an average of three days per week with on call services provided 24/7 for emergency obstetrics.
- Township has a population of approximately 11,000 residents and is located 260km North West of Sydney.

A Central Central hospital requires Senior Medical Officer in Anaesthetics for the following date(s).
Shift(s) details as below:
from 10/07/2025 08:00 to 15/07/2025 08:00 at $2500 per day
• Applicant must have evidence of completion of training in accordance with JCCA or Diploma of Rural Generalist Anaesthesia
• Competency with epidurals
• On-call 24 hours for Anaesthetics
• 2 elective lists
• Working in ED 2 or 3 days
• Face-to-face clinical handover at 0800 – 0830 with outgoing or incoming anaesthetist in the ward.
• Provide anaesthesia services at allocated theatre lists, including eye blocks.
• Provide pre-admission clinic services as scheduled.
• Provide on-call anaesthetic and regional anaesthesia services including epidurals across the facility
• Provide critical care services including airway management, ventilator support and haemodynamic support at the facility.
• Provide vascular access support across the facility.
• Provide pain services across the facility.
• Provide neonatal resuscitation services.
• Participate in rapid response, trauma and cardiac arrest services across the facility.
• Participate in the training and supervision of students, junior medical officers and registrars.
• Participate in morbidity and mortality meetings, MDT meetings and other clinical meetings as requested.
