Psychiatric Care:
Reviews clients under your twice weekly
Responsible for ensuring psychiatric cover for your patients while you are away in consultation with the Intake Team.
Participates in weekly MDS team meeting
Reviews day program clients when deemed necessary following your group observations, or when suggested by Day Program Manager
Provides pre-admission psychiatric assessments if required
Clinical Governance:
Supports medical and clinical teams with complex client case management
Responsible for ensuring good clinical governance including; safety, quality, credentialing and scope of clinical and medical practice activities
Ensures compliance with internal clinical policies and procedures
Keeps informed of developments and policy changes in the Mental Health Sector
Active member of the Medical Advisory Committee
Provides support to the chair of the Medical Advisory Committee
Participates in monthly complex client case review meetings
Quality and Safety
Maintain personal professional skills, competence and performance
Respond in a prompt and effective way to indications of clinical underperformance
Systematically monitor safety and quality performance across clinical teams
Infection control policy and procedure
