A Western NSW hospital requires Senior Medical Officer in Emergency Medicine for the following date(s).
Shift(s) details as below:
from 26/08/2025 14:00 to 02/09/2025 12:00 at $2000 per day
from 02/09/2025 14:00 to 09/09/2025 12:00 at $2000 per day
from 09/09/2025 14:00 to 16/09/2025 12:00 at $2000 per day
from 16/09/2025 14:00 to 23/09/2025 12:00 at $2000 per day
Role information: GP VMO with Emergency Skills. Covers ED and Ward. Must have completed eMeds training. Experience: Emergency, Trauma, Adult & Paediatric Support, sound clinical judgement and communicate appropriately. On-call requirements: You will be the sole Doctor on call 24/7. You as the Locum Doctor will be called in for all triage categories (1s to 5s) in-person between 0800 hrs and 2000 hrs.Overnight from 2000 hrs until 0800 hrs the locum doctor will be required to review all Category 1, 2 and 3 ED Presentations in-person. Overnight from 2000 hrs until 0800 hrs you will be responsible for Category 4 and 5 ED Presentations, an in-person review will be at your discretion. However you will be required to attend if a clinician or the Registered Nurse calls you requesting your presence. On-call will also require you at all times to attend inpatients that are deteriorating. vCare are available in emergency situations (1800 492 227)
Hours required to be on-site: 8am ward rounds, followed by ED reviews etc - finish time to be negotiated with site. Must return to the ED when requested by nursing staff at any time. Type of Doctor required: GP with Emergency Department Experience.
